Nov. 5, 2014 WASHINGTON - Sophomore Aliyah Graves-Brown (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg Academy) earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors for the 2014 season as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon. This was the first All-BIG EAST selection of Graves-Brown's career and she is the first Hoya to be named to the list since Annie Wilson earned the distinction in 2012.
The forward played in all 18 games this season, starting 17, and led the team in goals with six. Graves-Brown also recorded three assists to give her a team-high 15 points. Graves-Brown started the year on a high note for the Hoyas, as she was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll the week of Sept. 1, after tallying a goal and assist in both of the Blue and Gray's season-opening games against Davidson and Appalachian State.
In her career at Georgetown, Graves-Brown has appeared in 36 games and has six goals, six assists and 29 shots to her credit.
Graves-Brown scored her final goal of the season in GU's 3-0 victory over Towson on Senior Day at Multi-Sport Field.
