Sept. 26, 2014 WASHINGTON - Georgetown Baseball Head Coach Pete Wilk has announced the addition of Eric Pearlman as the final member of the coaching staff for the upcoming season. Pearlman will serve as the volunteer assistant for the Hoyas.
"We are lucky to get a guy like Eric for our staff," Wilk said. "He brings a wealth of experience and energy to the program and will make an immediate positive impact on our club."
Pearlman comes from Ursinus College, where he served as the Bears' assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for three seasons. He helped lead Ursinus to 42 wins over the past three years, and the Bears had a player named to the All-Centennial First Team in 2014.
Prior to Ursinus, Pearlman spent two seasons at Swarthmore College as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator.
Pearlman played his collegiate baseball at West Chester University, where he helped the school reach the Division II College World Series for the first time in school history.
"I am extremely honored and excited to join the coaching staff of the Georgetown University baseball program," Pearlman said. "This program is moving in a very exciting direction and I look forward to assisting in anyway while representing Georgetown University and the baseball program in its highest regard."
