WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University softball program, led by Head Coach Pat Conlan will host its annual Fall Clinic on campus at the Multi Sport Field the weekend of Nov. 8. The clinic will have three sections and focus on the fundamentals of pitching, hitting and defense.

Sections will be split up by age group with camp for participants in grades 2-7 occurring Saturday, Nov. 8 and camps for participants in grades 8-12 occurring on Sunday, Nov. 9. For additional information and to sign up, please visit Hoyas Softball Camps.

Pitching Clinic Nov. 8 & Nov. 9 Time: 9:30 am - 1 p.m. Location: Multi Sport Field

Early registration is highly encouraged as there is a 15 pitcher maximum,. Pitchers will receive instruction from Head Softball Coach Pat Conlan. Pitchers will participate in drills to develop correct mechanics and improve basic skills, learn how to throw spins for different pitches and increase overall explosiveness off the mound.

Infield Clinic Nov. 8 & Nov. 9 Time: 10 am - 12:30 pm Location: Multi Sport Field

The infield session will include drills to develop proper throwing mechanics, improve arm strength, accuracy and quickness. Participants will also partake in drills to develop proper fielding mechanics, softer hands, footwork, the ability to throw from all angles and focus on the development of proper footwork around the bag for force plays, tag plays and double plays.

Hitting Clinic Nov. 8 & Nov. 9 Time: 2 pm - 4:30 pm Location: Batting Cages on Georgetown's Campus

The hitting clinic will include an overview of hitting mechanics and fundamentals from stance to swing. Early registration is highly encouraged as there is a 40 player maximum for the hitting clinic.

The rain date for Saturday, Nov. 8 is Saturday, Nov. 15 at the same times and locations. Rain date for Sunday, Nov. 9 is Sunday, Nov. 16 at the same times and locations.
