WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field team had another historic day in Happy Valley as All-American Ahmed Bile (Annandale, Va./Annandale) joined one of the most exclusive clubs on the Hilltop: the Sub-Four Club, completing the indoor mile with a time of 3:59.04. Bile was just one of a number of impressive performances on the final day of the Penn State National, hosted by Penn State University at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track in State College, Pa.

In what is possibly the most impressive collegiate race this season, the invitational section of the men's mile saw four athletes go sub four with Bile finishing second among the quartet with a time of 3:59.04. Bile's time is the fifth-fastest indoor mile time in Georgetown program history and Bile joins an exclusive group of Hoyas to run a sub-four mile.

He is the seventh Hoya in the program to ever run a sub-four mile indoor and eighth overall including outdoor times. The last time a Hoya ran a sub-four mile was in 2009 at this same meet when Liam Boylan-Pett achieved the feat. Georgetown had back-to-back sub fours in 2008 (Andrew Bumbalough) and 2009 (Boylan-Pett).

All-American Katrina Coogan (Exter, N.H./Phillips Exeter Academy) was the top collegiate finisher in the invitational section of the women's mile, finishing second (4:36.16) behind former Hoya and All-American Rachel Schneider in first (4:35.60).

The men's 3,000-meter invitational saw a trio of Hoyas in the top spots as distance specialists Michael Lederhouse (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West), John Murray (Shrewsbury, Mass./Shrewsbury) and Jonathan Green (Berlin, Mass./Saint John's) take the top spots with respective times of 8:03.11, 8:06.30 and 8:08.31.

Joe White (Clifton, N.J/DePaul Catholic), who had already been a part of a nation-leading DMR on Friday, continued a strong weekend with a win in the invitational section of the men's 1,000-meter run. He timed in at 2:24.34 and led fellow Hoya Charles Cooper (Montreal, Canada/Lower Canada College) in second place (2:24.68).

All-American Sabrina Southerland (New York, N.Y./Benjamin N. Cardozo) followed up her 800-meter stanza as a part of the national-leading DMR with a first-place finish in the invitational section of the women's 800-meter run on Saturday, clocking 2:06.73. Piper Donaghu (Portland, Ore./Grant), running the 400-meter leg of the DMR on Friday, displayed her versatility with a second-place performance in the women's 800-meter run (2:07.10).

Showcasing that her strengths extend well beyond the muddy terrain of the cross country season, All-American Samantha Nadel (Glen Head, N.Y./North Shore) took first place in the invitational section of the women's 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:18.23.

In the women's 1,000-meter invitational, Becca DeLoache (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) won the event (2:48.55) and led fellow Hoya Heather Martin (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) to a second-place performance (2:49.75).
