Nov. 19, 2015 WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Ricky Fried announced the signing of eight student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Thursday. The future Hoyas are in the midst of their senior year of high school with one interscholastic season remaining before coming to the Hilltop in the fall of 2016.
"The coaches and I are excited to have these players joining the Georgetown family," said Fried. "This is another talented incoming class and they will be able to help us at every position with an attacker, four midfielders, two defenders and a goalkeeper signing NLI's. We're looking for this group to immediately add depth to our team."
The lone attacker is Michaela Bruno from Garden City N.Y., where she attends Garden City High School. Bruno will be a two-sport athlete on the Hilltop also joining the field hockey squad.
The midfielders are the largest group with four coming to the Hilltop. Emily Ehle from Baldwinsville N.Y., and Christian Brothers Academy, Katie Hudson from Cold Spring Harbor N.Y., and Cold Spring Harbor High School, Liza Liotta from Brooklandville Md., and Northport High School, and Natalia Lynch from Smithtown N.Y., and Smithtown West High School will all work for time in one of the midfield lines.
On defense, Noelle Peragine, from Northport N.Y., and Northport High School, and Coulby Riehl from Cockeysville Md., and Notre Dame Prep will join the backline.
Micheline DiNardo from Rye N.Y., and Rye High School comes in as the lone goalkeeper.
The Hoyas have concluded fall play and will begin practice in January, 2016.
