Baseball Game Versus George Mason Postponed

April 14, 2015

WASHINGTON - Tuesday's baseball game between Georgetown and George Mason, scheduled for 7 p.m. at Shirley Povich Field, has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions following Tuesday's inclement weather.

A makeup date will be announced at a later date.

The Blue & Gray has its BIG EAST bye week this weekend and will host Stony Brook for a three-game, non-conference series at Shirley Povich Field. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. before concluding the series at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The Hoyas are coming off of a weekend where they took two out of three games at Villanova, moving to .500 in BIG EAST play. GU took the opener, 9-3, on Friday, scoring all nine runs over the first three innings. Georgetown then scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning on Saturday to kill a Villanova rally for a 6-4 victory. The Wildcats avoided the sweep with a 6-5 win on Sunday in the series finale.
