Rome, Italy - Four Georgetown University men's basketball players scored in double figures, led by 18 points from freshman forward Marcus Derrickson (Bowie, Md./Brewster Academy [N.H.]), and nine different players scored at least five points as the Hoyas cruised to a 95-36 win over the Italy All-Stars on Tuesday night at Arena Atletico Felicio.

It was the second-straight win to open a 10-day tour of Italy for the Hoyas, who depart Rome on Wednesday morning and travel to Florence, stopping to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa along the way.

Prior to Tuesday night's game, Head Coach John Thompson III and the team took time for a photo with Kenneth Hackett, United States Ambassador to the Holy See (the Vatican).

The Hoyas took the lead immediately on a layup from sophomore forward L.J. Peak (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney) and never looked back, taking a 21-10 advantage after the first period. The second period was a bit sluggish to start, but the Blue & Gray outscored Italy 20-8 over the final 6:06 and took a 41-18 lead at the break on a layup from by freshman center Jessie Govan (Manhasset, N.Y./Wings Academy), assisted by senior Riyan Williams (Dunkirk, Md./Archbishop Carroll [D.C.]).

Derrickson, who scored six points in the first half, scored 12 points in the final 20 minutes. Georgetown outscored Italy 33-10 in the third quarter to push the lead to 74-28 and used a 21-8 fourth quarter for the final win. Derrickson hit 6-of-12 shots from the floor to finish with 18 points, while grabbing five rebounds.

Freshman forward Kaleb Johnson (Martinsville, Va./Carlisle School) scored 17 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had six steals off the bench. The Georgetown reserves combined for 46 points, 25 rebounds, 10 assists and 12 steals in the game. Sophomore forward Isaac Copeland (Raleigh, N.C./Brewster Academy [N.H.]) chipped in nine points, three rebounds and three steals, sophomore forward Paul White (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) added nine points, two rebounds and three assists and sophomore forward Trey Mourning (Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades) added six points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Junior forward Reggie Cameron (Hackensack, N.J./Hudson Catholic) started and scored 14 points with five rebounds, while Peak added 10 points, two rebounds, three assists and seven steals. Govan finished with seven points and seven rebounds.

The Hoyas finished the game shooting 45.7 percent from the floor (37-of-81), 25.9 percent from three-point land (7-of-27) and were 93.3 percent from the free throw line (14-of-15). GU held a 52-33 advantage in rebounding, handed out 16 assists and recorded 21 steals.

Georgetown plays next on Thursday, Aug. 20 against BC Atletas (Lithuania) in Florence, Italy.
