Field Hockey Signs Seven to National Letters of Intent

Dec. 2, 2016

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Head Field Hockey Coach Shannon Soares announced the signing of seven student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Friday. The future Hoyas are in the midst of their senior year of high school and have finished up their final field hockey season before coming to the Hilltop in the fall of 2017.

"As a staff, we are thrilled to welcome these seven student-athletes into our Georgetown field hockey family. Drawing from five different states, this group of young women have been very successful at the club and high school level and have played very vital roles on each of their teams," said Soares. "These seven young women also understand the importance of success in the classroom and will help continue our program's tradition of academic success. We look forward to this class immersing themselves fully in our team culture, while at the same time, helping to propel our program forward on the field. This is an exciting time for Georgetown field hockey and we can't wait to have them join us on the Hilltop."
