WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field team had a strong night to close the UVA Challenge in Charlottesville, Va., on Saturday. The Hoyas put up strong season bests and personal records (PRs) at the midpoint of the season.

All-American Katrina Coogan (Exeter, N.H./Phillips Exeter Academy) put up the best collegiate time in the women's 5,000-meter run as she finished second with a time of 15:50.51. It was the first 5,000m of Coogan's outdoor season. Autumn Eastman (Hinesburg, Vt./Champlain Valley Union) ran a PR 16:30.34 for 22nd overall.

In the men's 10,000-meter run, All-American Jonathan Green (Berlin, Mass./Saint John's High School) finished fourth with a time of 29:33.57.

In the opening 1,500-meter run of her career, freshman Audrey Belf (Birmingham, Mich./Earnest W. Seaholm) finished 15th with a time of 4:22.99.

The men's 1,500-meter run saw a trio of Hoyas record PRs, with John Murray (Shrewsbury, Mass./Shrewsbury) leading the way, clocking 3:48.62. Thomas Williams (Phoenix, Ariz./Brophy College Prep/Arizona State) ran his best GU 1,500m as he clocked 3:53.41, followed by a PR 3:55.36 from Nick Wareham (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury).

In the men's long jump, Kenneth Armstrong (San Dimas, Calif./Damien) recorded a season best 6.64m, good enough for ninth place.

The Hoyas return to action for the Penn Relays Carnival next weekend, held Thursday, April 28 - Saturday, April 30 at historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
