WASHINGTON – Georgetown University track & field competes on both coasts this week, as the team will send a pair of distance runners to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California on Thursday and Friday. A majority of the squad will head to Charlottesville, Virginia on Friday and Saturday for the Virginia Challenge.

About the Georgetown Men
- Tinoda Matsatsa earned the BIG EAST Men's Track Athlete of the Week award on April 7 after winning the 800m at the Florida Relays with a time of 1:46.17. His mark is the second-fastest in the country and leads the conference. Nicholas Medeiros and Gabriele Angiono finished in 14th and 18th, respectively, with times of 1:47.89 and 1:48.16. Their finishes are 33rd and 41st in the nation and rank second and fourth in the BIG EAST.
- GU's Edwin Klanke took third in the 1,500m at the Florida Relays with a time of 3:39.98, and Tommy Shaw placed seventh with a mark of 3:41.29. Klanke's finish is the 13th fastest in the country and leads the conference, while Shaw's time ranks 34th nationally and third among conference competition.
- Nicholas Givan ran a conference-leading time of 51.72 in the 400m hurdles at the Florida Relays for 15th place.
About the Georgetown Women
- Ida Moczerniuk made program history at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational, recording the second-fastest finish in the 100m with a time of 11.56 for second place. She was the quickest collegiate athlete at the meet and holds the top time in the BIG EAST. In the same event, Jadah Fitzgerald set an outdoor personal best en route to a seventh-place finish with a time of 11.75. Her mark moved her to fifth all-time in program history and ranks third in the conference.
- In the 200m event, Moczerniuk achieved a season-best time of 24.32, securing seventh place, while Fitzgerald finished 10th with a personal best of 24.41. Moczerniuk's performance ranks 15th in the history of the program, and Fitzgerald's new mark elevates her to 20th on Georgetown's all-time list, replacing her previous best.
- The team consisting of Fitzgerald, Moczerniuk, Mia Coleman and Sofia Calabretta took second in the 4x100m with a time of 45.97. Their finish is the eighth fastest in program history and first in the BIG EAST.
- Mary Grace Hegberg clocked a personal best time in the 800m, taking second with a time of 2:07.67. Hegberg's mark sits fifth in the conference.
