The quartet of Katie Duncalf (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley), Molly Fitzpatrick (Manchester, N.H./The Derryfield School), Molly Gaynor (Scotch Plains, N.J./Mount Saint Mary Academy) and Morgan Conley (Winnetka, Ill./Chatham/New Trier School [N.J.]) raced to a three-second victory on the women's side, while Edward Spinelli (Brooklyn, N.Y./Polytech Prep Country Day School), Arthur Wang (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington), Martin Vanin (Cali, Colombia/Colegio Bolivar) and Seth Maslowski (Cary, N.C./Green Hope) narrowly edged the Broncs by less than a half second.
The Hoyas earned 18 victories overall, including 11 by the women's squad. Both Fitzpatrick, in the 200-yard individual medley and the 200-yard breaststroke, and Margaret Barnhorst (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Ponte Vedra), in the 1- and 3-meter dives, recorded multiple victories.
Additionally, for the second-straight meet, Duncalf set a pool record. After breaking the mark in the 100-yard backstroke on Saturday, Duncalf set the new record in the 200-yard backstroke on Monday, touching the wall in 2:03.08.
The Hoyas will return to the pool on Saturday, January 21 when they travel to Philadelphia for a dual meet with Drexel University. The meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
