Georgetown Head Coach John Thompson III
On success scoring inside …
We wanted to, we wanted to get Marcus going and [Bradley Hayes] also. I guess we executed that part today.
On struggles in overtime …
We start off missing a layup, their kid steals a ball right in front of our bench, we had a bad shot. I can't remember what else, but we missed foul shots.
On giving up an offensive rebound late in the game …
There were eight or nine seconds left in the game and you get a rebound then it's over. We don't, they do, they go to the foul line and now we have to play in overtime.
On struggles of Rodney Pryor and what Butler defense did to stop him …
I'm not sure. When we get back to campus I need to talk with him to see if something is going on because it's one thing for him not to score, you have those nights, but the game is about more than putting the ball in the basket. You've heard me all year, he does a lot more than just put the ball in the basket and tonight everything didn't happen.
On handling ball screen situations …
We try to give them different looks to tell you the truth. We started off flat and hedging it and we tried to blow it up a couple times, then we ended up switching so we just gave them different looks. I think for the most part, when we ended up switching late in the game [Bradley Hayes] in particular did a decent job when Marcus was staying in front of their guys.
On the play at the end of regulation …
Just an isolation for Peak. Just wanted to give L.J. the ball. We had a pin down on side for Marcus, Kaleb screening down for Marcus on one side and then five seconds left just put the ball in Peak's hand and make a play. He knew Marcus was coming down on one side and other than that, just go to the hole.
On being 0-4 in the league …
We just gotta fight. We gotta fight. We have to fight. It's as simple as that. There's no magic dust that can be sprinkled, we just have to come and fight.

On improving at the free throw line …
It's just our focus. Focusing in on free throws and just staying focused through the game. I don't think it has to do with nerves, we just have to focus on our free throws more.
On performance against Butler …
When things start to go down we talk about coming together, so I think that I can be the voice on the team being the point guard, but obviously today I didn't do a good enough job since we lost the game.

On climbing out of 0-4 hole in BIG EAST …
Like Coach Thompson just said, we gotta fight.
Butler Head Coach Chris Holtmann
Opening statement …
Well, it was quite a game in a lot of ways. I think we knew we were facing a good Georgetown team that was going to play and come at us and I thought they really set the tone with their physicality in the first half. I think I have to do a better job of just preparing our guys for that because I think they popped us there early. You know it wasn't always like we wanted it to be, but much like it is on the road in most situations, you are going to have to weather some of that and I thought we weathered it and made the necessary plays and I thought these two guys [Kamar Baldwin and Nate Fowler] were critical in that.
On the team containing Rodney Pryor and also Josh Hart earlier in the week …
They are really talented scorers, but hopefully we had something to do with that, maybe they had off nights, but hopefully we had something to do with it. Pryor is different, he can go get 15 in a hurry, Josh [Hart] can spread it out over the course of the game and just keeps coming. I think Pryor is one of the very best scorers in our league, just a pure scorer.
Kamar Baldwin
On the physicality in the game and the mentality of the team late in the game …
On the court the physicality was there more than other games, but we adjusted well to it. In the huddles, like coach always tell us, we just have to stay together and stay connected and we did that. We were down three and he drew up a great play, got Nate a wide-open shot and we just knew we had to stay together and force it into overtime.
Nate Fowler
On playing in critical moments …
It was a little bit different from last year, but I've been practicing a lot this offseason and this year have gotten used to being in those situations.
