March 21, 2017 Game Notes vs. Loyola 3/22/17 
WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team hits the road on Wednesday to face No. 17/18 Loyola (Md.) for a final nonconference tune-up before beginning BIG EAST play on Saturday. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network at 3 p.m., with Ben Holden calling the play-by-play and Sheehan Stanwick Burch providing the color commentary.
The Hoyas (2-5) are coming off a tough 12-7 setback to then-No. 12/13 Duke on Saturday. Jake Carraway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) led the Hoyas with three goals while Daniel Bucaro (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) added two goals and an assist. Carraway earned his second-straight BIG EAST Freshman of the Week accolade for his performance against the Blue Devils.
Bucaro leads the Blue & Gray with 28 points (21G, 7A) on the season while Peter Conley (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) is right behind him with 24 points (15G, 9A). Carraway ranks third with 13 points (11G, 2A) and Craig Berge (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) adds 12 points (8G, 4A).
Defensively, long stick midfielder Michael Mayer (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's) paces the Hoyas in both ground balls and caused turnovers with 27 and 13, respectively. Jarrett Jones (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif./Palos Verdes) has hauled in 22 ground balls, Carraway has 14 and both Conley and Charlie Ford (San Carlos, Calif./St. Ignatius) have both collected 13.
In goal, Nick Marrocco (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) has registered 77 saves on the season with a .520 save percentage. He currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division I on the career leaders list with 445 saves.
Loyola (4-3) is coming off an 18-7 victory over Navy following a loss to Duke. Pat Spencer leads the Greyhounds with 40 points (13G, 27A) while Alex McGovern adds 24 points (10G, 14A). Loyola also has five other players with at least 10 points on the season.
Defensively, Jacob Stover has collected 53 saves on the season with a .486 save percentage and a 10.32 goals-against average. Jack Carrigan leads the team with eight caused turnovers and Zac Davliakos has six. Faceoff specialist P.J. Brown has collected 57 ground balls and has won 106-of-178 (.596) trips to the `X'.
