WASHINGTON –  Georgetown University women's basketball senior guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll the league announced on Monday. It is the third weekly honor for the Hoyas this season, the second for White and the ninth nod of her career.
 
The Hoyas' upset bid of No. 10/10 North Carolina State came up just shy despite a game-high 25 points by White as the Blue & Gray fell 76-65. The senior guard added seven boards and four steals against the Wolfpack.
 
White is leading the team and ranked eighth in the BIG EASTwith 14.6 ppg.  Her 8.3 rpg put her first for the Hoyas and fourth in the league.  She also has 21 steals and 26 assists to rank second in helpers on the squad.  The guard was a Preseason All-BIG EAST honoree this year and is a three-time postseason award winner being named the 2017-18 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year.
 
Georgetown will break for final exams before closing out nonconference play on Friday, December 21 at Rider University.  The opening tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.
