WASHINGTON - Coming off an emphatic victory in its season opener on Tuesday, the Georgetown University men's lacrosse team hits the road for a weekend tilt at Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon. The game is the second of a home-and-home series with the Colonials after a Hoya victory on the Hilltop last season.

Opening faceoff against RMU is set for 1 p.m. in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. Links to live stats and video are available on www.GUHoyas.com.

Georgetown earned a resounding 15-5 victory over visiting High Point in the 2018 season opener on Tuesday afternoon. Eight different Hoyas scored goals in the win, Georgetown's first season opening victory since the 2014 campaign.

Jake Carraway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) paced GU's potent offense with five goals and an assist for six points. Daniel Bucaro (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) added two goals and three assists for five points and Craig Berge (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) chipped in a goal and three assists on the day.

Defensively, goalie Nick Marrocco (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) had an outstanding day between the pipes. He collected 12 saves on the day and allowed only three goals in just over 50 minutes of action while holding the Panthers to a nearly 35-minute drought spanning the first three quarters.

Peter Tagliaferri (Danville, Calif./San Ramon Valley) went 9-for-17 (.529) at the faceoff `X' and hauled in four ground balls to go with an assist.

Robert Morris hosts the Hoyas after a 1-1 start to the season. The Colonials dropped their season opener, 11-7, at No. 7/8 Rutgers before topping Bellarmine, 15-7, on the road. Fourteen different RMU players have scored goals this season, led by Jimmy Perkins and Corson Kealey with three apiece while four other players have tallied two. Perkins has also been credited with a team-high six assists.

Defensively, Alex Heger has played all 120 minutes in goal for Robert Morris. He hauled in 18 saves in two games and has posted a 9.00 goals-against average so far this season.

Georgetown and RMU played for the first time in program history last season with the Hoyas claiming a 12-7 victory in the Nation's Capital. The win was a breakout performance for Carraway as he notched his first career hat trick with four goals and an assist for a game-high five points. Bucaro and Berge both scored twice in that game, while Austin McDonald (Olney, Md./Georgetown Prep), Patrick Aslanian (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) and Tagliaferri all scored lone goals as well.

The Hoyas put together a dominating performance at the `X' against the Colonials, winning 16-of-23 (.696) faceoffs with Tagliaferri going 9-for-13 (.692) and Riley Mann (Naperville, Ill./Benet Academy) going 7-for-10 (.700).

Following Saturday's game, the Hoyas continue their road swing as they face No. 18/19 Towson at Johnny Unitas Stadium on Saturday, February 24, at noon.
