Men’s Lacrosse Wraps Up Home Slate Against St. John’s on Senior Day

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's No. 8/10 men's lacrosse team hosts St. John's for the 2026 home finale in BIG EAST play. Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m. at Cooper Field and will be preceded by a Senior Day ceremony honoring the careers of 13 Hoyas.

  • The Hoyas (6-4, 3-0 BIG EAST) are ranked eighth in the most recent United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches Poll and 10th in the Kane Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.
  • Georgetown is coming off a 17-7 victory at home against Marquette on Saturday, clinching a berth in the upcoming BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Championship, presented by JEEP.
  • Liam Connor tied the Georgetown program record with eight assists while adding a goal for nine points on the day and was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

  • On the year, Liam Connor leads the Hoyas with 52 points (14G, 38A) and leads the NCAA in assists per game. Rory Connor is right behind with 51 points (41G, 10A) and is second in the NCAA in goals per game. Schubert has 19 (12G, 7A) and Ransom has 16 (12G, 4A).
  • Evan MacFarland has been credited with 13 caused turnovers this year while Banks has 10.
  • Cody has gone 91-for-189 (.481) on faceoffs with 48 ground balls
  • In goal, Moore has a 10.21 goals-against average to go with a .552 save percentage and 123 saves.
Scouting St. John's
  • The Red Storm are 2-10 on the season and 0-3 in league play, coming off a 15-9 road loss at Denver in BIG EAST play.
  • Noah Plenn leads SJU with 35 points (21G, 14A) while both Chase Huggard (13G, 6A) and Adrian Nowak (5G, 19A) have 19.
  • Ethan Wiegand is the top faceoff specialist for St. John's, winning 104-of-184 (.565) draws with 49 ground balls.
  • Defensively, Quinn Falasca anchors the Golden Eagle defense with 12 caused turnovers and 15 ground balls.
  • In goal, Matt Nelson (2-10) has started all 12 games and has a 13.40 GAA to go with a .497 save percentage and 150 saves.

  • The Hoyas and St. John's have played 24 times since 1992. Georgetown owns an 21-3 overall record, including each of the last nine showdowns.
  • Georgetown won the last meeting in 2025, a 21-8 win in Queens, New York.
