Georgetown Gets the Victory Over Temple

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's tennis team defeated Temple on Saturday evening in Washington, D.C., 4-3. With the win, the Hoyas improve to 3-4 on the season, while Temple falls to 8-5.

In doubles action, seniors Peter Beatty (Portland, Ore./Middlesex School) and Mac Rechan (Clayton, Mo./Clayton) defeated Thomas Sevel and Alberto Caceres Casas, 6-3. Additionally, freshman Connor Lee (San Marino, Calif./San Marino) and junior Michael Chen (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) earned the victory over Uladzimir Dorash and Francisco Bohorquez due to the Owls retiring the match, 1-0.

In singles, Lee clinched the win for the Hoyas in his match against Bohorquez, 7-5, 7-5. Senior Marco Lam (Hong Kong, China/Diocesan Boys' School) dominated in his match against Eric Biscoveanu, 7-5, 6-1, and Chen got the win against Michael Haelen, 6-1, 6-3.

The Blue & Gray will return to action on Friday, March 23, to take on Marquette. The match is set for 11 a.m. at Yates Field House.
