WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University track & field teams will return to University Park, Pennsylvania on Friday and Saturday as they compete in the Penn State National Invitational, hosted by Penn State University. The first day of action begins at 5 p.m. for the Hoyas with the women's triple jump. Day two will commence at 10:50 a.m. for the women's 400-meter dash. The meet will be held at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

Men's Preview
During the Penn State Nittany Lion Challenge two weeks ago, All-American Joe White (Clifton, N.J. / DePaul Catholic) and junior Jack Salisbury (Rumford, R.I. / La Salle Academy) highlighted the day in the 1,000-meter run and the 3,000-meter event, respectively. White posted a time of 2:21.99 to take the win by a hair while Salisbury closed strong in the last 200 meters to finish first by just .01 seconds with a time of 8:13.38.

Also posting a top-three finish was junior Quincey Wilson (Lithonia, Ga. / Arabia Mountain) as he finished second with a time of 48.69 in the 400-meter dash. Sophomores Jack Van Scoter (Pasadena, Calif. / Flintridge Prep) and Matthew Bouthillette (North Providence, R.I. / La Salle Academy) both posted solid performances finishing in the top three with times of 4:07.98 and 4:08.09, respectively.

White will compete in the men's 800-meter run, which is his best event, and Wilson will look to build momentum off of his 400-meter dash time two weeks ago. Salisbury will faceoff in the men's 1,000-meter category while Bouthillette and Van Scoter will race in the men's mile. Georgetown will also feature a pair of runners making their indoor season debut. Senior Adam Barnard (Gray, Tenn. / Daniel Boone) will compete in the men's mile while sophomore Ty Brownlow (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool) will race in the men's 3,000-meter event.

Women's Preview
Sophomore Paige Hofstad (New Braunfels, Texas / New Braunfels) and graduate student Josette Norris (Tenafly, N.J. / Tenafly) led the way for the Blue & Gray at the Nittany Lion Challenge as they made their indoor season debuts finishing in the top three in the 3,000-meter run. Hofstad completed her second-place finish with a time of 9:39.54 while Norris finished third at 9:40.80. Hofstad and Norris will attempt a repeat performance in the women's mile event this weekend.

A quartet of Hoyas will be making their indoor season debuts on the women's side as BryAnn Sandy (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Paul Robeson-Pathways Tech) kicks day two off in the women's 400-meter dash. Margie Cullen (Needham, Mass. / Needham) will make her debut in the women's mile while Kate Gobi (Princeton, Mass. / Wachusett Regional) and Kayla Grahn (La Canada Flintridge, Calif. / Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy) compete in the women's 1,000-meter run and the 3,000-meter run, respectively.
