WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University cross country teams are entering the sixth meet of the 2019 season as they travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the Mid-Atlantic Regionals, hosted by Lehigh University. It is the second time this season that the women's team will compete at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course, which is where the Paul Short Invitational was held. On Friday, the women will compete in the 6K at at 11 a.m. and the men will run in the 10K at noon, followed by an awards ceremony. The top two teams from each race will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA National Championships next Saturday.
MEN'S PREVIEW
· The men's team is coming off of a second-place finish at the BIG EAST Championships two weeks ago.
· Last year at the Mid-Atlantic Regional, the men finished in third place.
· For the first time this season, the Hoyas appeared in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll at No. 30.
· In the USTFCCCA Week 6 Regional Coaches' Poll, Georgetown is ranked at No. 2 behind BIG EAST foe Villanova.
