WASHINGTON– The Georgetown University women's varsity eight boat received the Patriot League Boat of the Week honorable mention, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
The women's varsity eight boat competed in two races in the Memorial Murphy Cup Regatta last weekend on the Cooper River as their second place finish (6:51.08) in the second heat of their first race gave them entry into the Grand Final later in the afternoon. In the final, the Blue & Gray crossed the finish line fifth for a time of 6:55.39.
The openweights return to the water on Sunday, March 31 to compete in the Occoquan Sprints in Fairfax Station, Virginia.
