WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team had a pair of players earn BIG EAST Weekly Honors, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Jake Carraway (Annapolis, Md. / St. Mary's) was named the Attack Player of the Week while
Lucas Wittenberg (Kennesaw, Ga. / Harrison / Mercer) was selected as the Midfield Player of the Week.
Carraway led the Hoyas in scoring for both games on the week. He opened with five goals and an assist in a 16-14 loss at No. 2/2 Loyola and followed up with five goals and two assists in a BIG EAST victory against visiting No. 16/14 Villanova. Carraway notched his 100th career goal against the Greyhounds and had the game-winner and a man-up goal against the Wildcats while collecting five ground balls in the two games.
Wittenberg had three goals and three assists in Georgetown's win against Villanova. He added a goal in the midweek loss to the Greyhounds and also had a pair of ground balls on the week.
Georgetown closes out its road schedule and nonconference slate as it travels to face NJIT on Saturday, April 20 in Newark, New Jersey.
