WASHINGTON – Junior midfielder
Liza Liotta (Baltimore, Md. / St. John's School for Girls) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday when the league announced its weekly awards. The No. 22 Hoyas are currently 7-4 on the season and 1-0 in BIG EAST Conference play.
Liotta scored a game-high four goals as the nationally ranked Hoyas topped Butler 21-3 on Saturday. All five of Liotta's shots were on target and she added a pair of ground balls. This is her first nod to the honor roll and the sixth for the Blue & Gray this season.
Liotta has started all 11 games for the Hoyas this season and is seventh on the squad in scoring with 12 goals and three assists for 15 points. She has both five caused turnovers and as many draw controls on the season.
The Hoyas will be back in action on Saturday as the squad hosts No. 16 Denver in another BIG EAST Conference matchup at Cooper Field. Live stats will be available at
