Kyle Ruedisili Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University graduate student outfielder Kyle Ruedisili (Jupiter, Fla. / The Benjamin School / Washington and Lee University) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, as announced by the league office. The award, which recognizes Ruedisili's performance in GU's doubleheader sweep over Rider on Saturday, is his second of the year and the sixth of the season for the Hoyas.

Ruedisili was a force from the leadoff spot in Georgetown's two wins over Rider on Saturday in GU's bye week. He had three hits within the first three innings of game one, leading off the game with a double and scoring one batter later. Ruedisili also added a two-run double in the second inning as he finished with three hits, two runs scored and two RBIs in the first game. He led off game two with a solo home run, his team-leading seventh of the year which is the most by a Hoya since 2015, and added a sacrifice fly later in the game and scored in GU's five-run seventh inning that helped complete the sweep.

On the season, Ruedisili leads the Hoyas with seven home runs, 14 doubles, 32 runs scored, 23 RBIs, 11 stolen bases and a .579 slugging percentage. He is also second with two triples and a .286 (38 for 133) batting average.

Georgetown will remain at home to host George Washington in a midweek matchup on Wednesday, April 24. The Blue & Gray will then jump back into conference play, welcoming St. John's to Shirley Povich Field for a three-game series April 26-28.
