WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team continues the second game of a three-game road trek at Providence in BIG EAST action on Saturday. The Hoyas (7-3, 0-2 BIG EAST) are looking for their first league win of season after a pair of tough losses to open conference play.

Georgetown dropped a 16-9 decision at No. 9/9 Denver last Saturday.
Jake Carraway (Annapolis, Md. / St. Mary's) led the Hoyas with four points (2G, 2A) while
Daniel Bucaro (East Setauket, N.Y. / Ward Melville) and
Robert Clark (Cooksville, Md. / McDonogh) both added two goals and an assist.
James Reilly (Berwyn, Pa. / Conestoga),
Dylan Watson (Guelph, Ontario / The Hill Academy) and
Lucas Wittenberg (Kennesaw, Ga. / Harrison / Mercer) all had a lone goal and
Declan McDermott (Pleasantville, N.Y. / Pleasantville) chipped in an assist.
In goal,
Owen McElroy (Ridgewood, N.J. / Ridgewood / Avon Old Farms) tallied 15 saves in the loss.
Bucaro moved into sole possession of second place all-time at Georgetown in career points with 191 (126G, 65A), passing Hoya Hall of Famer Chris Remington ('95). Carraway moved into the top-10 in career scoring on the Hilltop with 141 points (93G, 48A), passing Craig Dowd ('10) and Mike Mauboussin ('86).
On the season, Bucaro (34G, 18A) leads the Hoyas with 52 points while Carraway (29G, 20A) is right behind him with 49. Bucaro leads the BIG EAST in goal scoring while Carraway is the top assist man in the league.
Wittenberg adds 30 points (13G, 17A), Clark chips in 27 points (18G, 9A) and
Massimo Bucci (Ithaca, N.Y. / IMG Academy) and McDermott round out the Hoyas in double figures with 12 points each.
Defensively,
Gibson Smith (Pelham, N.Y. / Pelham Memorial) leads the Blue & Gray with a BIG EAST-leading 53 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers while
Patrick Aslanian (Westfield, N.J. / Westfield) has 17 CTs. In goal, McElroy has collected 109 saves on the season with a .540 save percentage and a 10.56 goals-against average.
Providence (5-5, 1-0 BIG EAST) has won three of its last four games, including an 8-7 overtime victory at St. John's in the league opener. Nick Hatzipetrakos leads the Friars with 30 points (28G, 2A) while Brendan Kearns adds 28 points (17G, 11A) and Matt Grillo chips in 25 points (17G, 8A). Rounding out the Friars in double figures, Tim Hinrichs has 20 points (7G, 13A) and Ryan Nawrocki has 17 (6A, 11A).
Defensively, Emmett Jennings leads the way with 16 caused turnovers while Tate Boyce mans the cage with 127 saves, a .586 save percentage and a 9.06 GAA.
Georgetown is 9-2 all-time against Providence, including an 8-4 victory over the Friars on the Hilltop last season. Carraway led the Blue & Gray with four goals while Bucaro chipped in three assists.
Following Saturday's game, Georgetown closes out its road trek as it travels to face No. 3/2 Loyola on Tuesday, April 9 at 7 p.m. in Baltimore.
