WASHINGTON – The No. 23 Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad will host No. 14 Navy on Wednesday evening at Cooper Field. The opening draw is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on Hoyavision with Monika Moore calling the action. Live stats will be available at www.GUHoyas.com. The Hoyas are currently 7-5 overall and 1-1 in BIG EAST Conference play.
On Tuesday, senior midfielder
Francesca Whitehurst (Baltimore, Md. / Roland Park Country School) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. In a 12-9 loss to then-No. 16 Denver, Whitehurst posted team highs of four points (2g, 2a) and four draw controls while adding a ground ball. The senior buried both shots she took on the afternoon and was 1-for-1 on free-position attempts.
This is GU's seventh nod to the honor roll this season and third for Whitehurst in 2019. It is also the seventh of her career.

Morgan Ryan (Maplewood, N.J. / Oak Knoll School) led the way with a hat trick as Whitehurst followed. Senior attacker

The squads managed 24 shots apiece, and the defense forced 21 Pioneer turnovers while giving up 17 of its own. On the draw, GU pulled in nine draw controls to Denver's 14. Senior goalkeeper
Haelle Chomo (Naples, Fla. / Barron Collier) notched six saves in the contest while junior goalkeeper
Micheline DiNardo (Rye, N.Y. / Rye) had 14 minutes of action in the cage with one save to her credit.
Whitehurst and Gebhardt lead the team in scoring with 40 and 39 points, respectively. Whitehurst has 22 goals and a squad-best 18 assists, while Gebhardt has managed 26 goals with 13 assists on the season. They are followed by Ryan in third with a team-high 27 goals, while junior midfielder
Natalia Lynch (Smithtown, N.Y. / Smithtown West) is fourth with 22 goals to go along with eight assists on the year.
Lynch has 46 draw controls on the year followed by Whitehurst and freshman midfielder
Jordyn Sabourin (Catonsville, Md. / Notre Dame Prep) with 38 and 28, respectively. Lynch leads the defense with 17 caused turnovers and junior
Noelle Peragine (Northport, N.Y. / Northport) has added 14. In goal, Chomo has played a majority of the minutes in the cage with 72 saves and a 9.84 goals-against average for the season.
The Midshipmen are 9-3 overall and 4-1 in Patriot League play. The squad is looking to bounce back from a 16-6 loss to then-No. 11 Loyola on Saturday. Navy is led by Kelly Larkin who has 71 points with 40 goals and 31 assists on the season. She has more than double the points of anyone else on the squad. Gab Harchelroad has played a majority of the minutes in the cage with 61 saves to her credit.
This is the first meeting between the squads.
Also on Tuesday, the first NCAA RPI was released. The Hoyas sit at No. 23 overall and second among BIG EAST schools.
