WASHINGTON – Fifteen members of the Georgetown University women's rowing team were named National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). Seven members of the Hoya openweight squad earned the accolade including
Hallie Bereday (Tampa, Fla.),
Angela Glazer (Princeton, N.J.),
Schylar Jacobs (Alexandria, Va.),
Cate O'Leary (St. Paul, Minn.),
Chloe Schalit (Berkeley, Calif.),
Mara Sylvia (San Francisco, Calif.) and
Margaux Weiner (Chappaqua, N.Y.). Additionally, eight members of the lightweight roster were selected, including
Ellis Anderson (Dunwoody, Ga.),
Michelle Choi (Irvine, Calif.),
Monica Collins (San Marino, Calif.),
Caroline Cosovich (Burlingame, Calif.),
Anna Kemmerer (Palo Alto, Calif.),
Isabel Rose (Cos Cobb, Conn.),
Mia Tsudis (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and
Megan Walsh (Southborough, Mass.).

Kendall Mulligan said. "Being true to our mission of developing the whole person, the team's success academically is paramount to meeting that goal."
On the openweight side, Glazer, O'Leary, Schalit and Sylvia are all repeat CRCA National Scholar-Athletes. O'Leary collected her first honor in 2017 while Glazer, Schalit and Sylvia were each recognized in 2018.
For the lightweights, Choi and Walsh garnered the award in 2018 and Walsh was also recognized in 2017.
To be eligible for CRCA National Scholar-Athlete recognition, a rower must be in her second, third of fourth year of eligibility, have rowed in her institution's NCAA or IRA eligible boat(s) for a minimum of 75 percent of the current spring races or racing in a regional conference event and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA for her career.
