WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University cross country teams are prepared for the second race of the 2019 season as they head to State College, Pennsylvania for the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational, hosted by Penn State. The women will compete in the 6K at 10 a.m., while the men will run in a 5.2-mile race at 10:45 a.m. The Hoyas will be competing against Penn State, Saint Francis, University of Guelph and West Virginia.
MEN'S PREVIEW
- The men's team is coming off of a second-place finish at the Mount St. Mary's 5K Duals two weeks ago.
- Last year at the Penn State Invitational, the men finished fifth out of nine teams.
- The Hoyas will have a group of 11 runners competing from the men's squad.
- Lineup: Maazin Ahmed, Joshua Bell, Reilly Bloomer, Spencer Brown, Ty Brownlow, Tristan Forsythe, Quinn Nicholson, Eion Nohilly, Price Owens, Jack Salisbury, Dylan Scarsone.
WOMEN'S PREVIEW

The men's team will travel to South Bend, Indiana on October 4 to compete in the Joe Piane Invitational. The women's team will travel to Lehigh, Pennsylvania on October 5 to compete in the Paul Short Invitational.
