WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team heads back out on the road on Saturday for a matchup at No. 16/16 Villanova. Tipoff is scheduled for noon at Wells Fargo Center. The Blue & Gray comes in at 11-5 overall on the year and 1-2 in the BIG EAST.

LAST TIME OUT
- Georgetown opened up a 29-point lead in the first half, en route to an 87-66 victory over St. John's on Wednesday night at Capital One Arena.
- Mac McClung led five Hoyas in double figures with 24 points, his sixth 20-point effort of the season, on 7-of-17 shooting as well as chipping in six rebounds, a pair of assists, three steals and one block.
- Jamorko Pickett poured in 18 points and tallied a career-high 11 rebounds for a double-double, his first in a Georgetown uniform. He also tied a career best with four blocks.
- Terrell Allen managed 16 points to go along with four assists and a team-best five steals.
- Jagan Mosely finished with 16 points and a season-high seven assists to lead of the offense.
- Omer Yurtseven recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
- The Hoyas shot 43.3 (26-60) percent from the field, while holding St. John's to 35.3 (24-68) percent shooting.
- Georgetown finished with 21 assists on 26 made baskets and had seven blocks and 10 steals on the defensive end.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- GU leads the BIG EAST in scoring (79.6 ppg) and are second in rebounding (40.6 rpg) and free throw percentage (.761).
- Yurtseven leads the Hoyas with 16.9 ppg and 9.9 rpg, which both rank among the top five in the conference. McClung is second on the team in scoring with 16.4 ppg
- Jahvon Blair is among Georgetown's career top 25 in 3-pointers made as his 107 career treys is 20th all-time. Mosely has 289 career assists which is 23rd on GU's career list.
SCOUTING VILLANOVA
- Villanova comes in at 11-3 overall and 2-1 in BIG EAST play after defeating Creighton on Tuesday. The Wildcats are ranked 16th in both the AP and Coaches' Poll.
- Villanova is averaging 75.1 ppg, while allowing just 67.1 ppg. Collin Gillespie leads the Wildcats with 15.0 ppg. Saddiq Bey (14.0), Justin Moore (12.1), Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (10.6) and Jermaine Samuels (10.2) are all in double figures.
- Robinson-Earl leads the team with 9.3 rpg, while Gillespie has a team-best 64 assists.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Saturday will be the 85th all-time meeting between the longtime BIG EAST rivals with the Hoyas holding a 44-40 series advantage. The two teams split the two games last season with each team winning at home.
- The Hoyas defeated the then-No. 17/16 Wildcats at Capital One Arena 85-73 last February. McClung had 21 points while Jessie Govan had a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
- In the matchup in Philadelphia, Villanova came away with 77-65 victory. Pickett finished with 10 points while Trey Mourning had 12 points off the bench.
- Patrick Ewing is 1-3 against Villanova as GU's head coach and was 7-3 during his playing career.
