WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Field Hockey Head Coach Christy Longacre announced that five newcomers will be joining the Hoyas on the Hilltop as members of the 2024 class. Joining the Hoya family from four different states, all five newcomers are all skilled players who should provide reinforcements throughout to the current roster. The five incoming freshmen will join the Blue & Gray this fall, adding versatile goal scorers and strong defenders to the program going into Coach Longacre's third year at the helm.
"We are very excited about the 2020 signing class and their passion for Georgetown University and our field hockey program", said Longacre. "Our five incoming freshmen are joining us from Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey and Missouri. All five student-athletes joining our program are hard workers, awesome people, great athletes and fantastic students in the classroom. The class varies in positions and skill sets, and the combination of their abilities is a great fit for what our program needs moving forward. Every time we have seen them play throughout the last couple of years, they have continued to develop in so many ways. We have a bright future as a program and this incoming class will add a tremendous amount of athleticism and skill to our team."
