WASHINGTON – The Georgetown track & field team clinched seven total nods to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team. With a quartet for the men and a trio for the women, the Blue & Gray leads the BIG EAST Conference for most honorees from a league institution, sharing the honor with Villanova University. Additionally, both the men's and women's teams were named all-academic squads.
 

• For the men, a quartet of Hoyas were named all-academic in Spencer Brown, Rusty Kujdych, Matthew Payamps and Kenny Rowe.
• The women's team tallied three all-academic individuals in Sami Corman, Maya Drayton and Alie Fordyce.
• Georgetown's seven total nods ranks tops the BIG EAST Conference alongside Villanova.
• GU was one of four league institutions to earn individual honors on both the men's and women's squads with Butler, DePaul and Villanova joining the Blue & Gray. While competing in its final season with the American Athletic Conference (AAC), recently-added to the BIG EAST University of Connecticut also earned honors on both the men's (8) and women's academic teams (3).
• To be named an individual all-academic standout by the USTFCCCA, a student-athlete must maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher and must have finished the indoor regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event.
• Both the men's and women's squads were named all-academic alongside six other league institutions to earn the nod while conference newcomer also clinched the team accolade on both sides as part of the AAC.
• In order to be named an all-academic team, a program must have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA.
