WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team returns home to McDonough Arena on Wednesday night when the Hoyas host DePaul in a BIG EAST Conference matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Last time out, Georgetown fought to make it a one-possession game late in the second half, but ultimately fell 74-69 at Syracuse on Saturday night
- Jamorko Pickett led the Hoyas with 17 points and tied for game-high honors with nine rebounds. He also added a trio of blocks.
- Jahvon Blair recorded his first career double-double with 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and a career-best 10 assists.
- Donald Carey rounded out those in double figures, finishing with 10 points, including a pair from beyond the arc.
- Qudus Wahab and Chudier Bile each contributed nine points.
- The Hoyas handed out a season-high 18 assists.
- Blair leads the team in scoring with 18.0 ppg, which ranks sixth in the BIG EAST. He is tied for first in 3-pointers / game (2.9) and third in free throw percentage (85.0).
- Wahab (12.0 ppg) and Pickett (11.5 ppg) are also in double figures. Pickett leads the league in rebounding (8.7 rpg) and Wahab is second in blocks (2.5 bpg).
- As a team, Georgetown leads the BIG EAST in rebounding (42.5 rpg).
SCOUTING DEPAUL
- DePaul comes in with a 1-4 record overall, having had six games postponed due to COVID issues. The Blue Demons are 0-4 in BIG EAST play, losing to UConn on Monday.
- They are scoring 72.6 ppg, while allowing 77.0 ppg to opponents. DePaul is shooting 46.5 percent from the floor and 37.1 percent from 3-point range.
- Javon Freeman-Liberty leads the way with 14.2 ppg, while Charlie Moor is scoring 13.0 ppg. Romeo Weems (10.3 ppg) and Oscar Lopez Jr. (10.0 ppg) are also in double figures.
- Weems is pulling down a team-high 5.8 rpg and Freeman-Liberty is right behind him with 5.6 rpg. Moore leads the offense with 4.8 apg.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Wednesday will be the 44th all-time meeting between Georgetown and DePaul. The Hoyas hold a 32-11 series advantage, including a 16-3 mark in Washington, D.C.
- The two teams split last year's series, with each squad winning on its home court. Georgetown came away with a 76-72 win at Capital One Arena, before DePaul won two weeks later in Chicago, 74-68.
- Blair had a career-high 30 points in the home victory over the Blue Demons, hitting 11-of-18 shots from the floor, and Wahab had six blocks. Pickett had 19 points and seven rebounds in the matchup in Chicago.
- Head Coach Patrick Ewing is 3-3 against DePaul as GU's head coach and went 2-1 against the Blue Demons as a player.
