WASHINGTON - Georgetown University freshman Max Hutter (Weston, Mass) was named the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Hutter placed tied for fourth and led the Hoyas to a fourth-place finish at the 37th Georgetown Intercollegiate.
With rounds of 73, 67 and 69, Hutter shot a four-under par 209 to finish in the top five.Â
The tournament victory was the first individual win for the senior during his tenure with the Blue & Gray.
Georgetown shot an 859 to finish fourth overall, four strokes behind Campbell University.
Hutter is the first Hoya to garner BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week honors this season.Â
The Hoyas finish the fall slate at the ODU/OBX Invitational October 24-26 in Powells Point, North Carolina.Â
