Hoyas Place 12th At Maidstone Invitational

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's golf team wrapped up play at the two-day Maidstone Invitational finishing in 12th place with a 54-hole score of 74-over par 938. The tournament was played at the Maidstone Club Par 72 - 6742 Yards.
 

HOYA RESULTS

  • Senior Captain Brad Whitaker was Georgetown's top scorer with a total score of 228.

  • Junior Pieter DeGroot finished with scores of 78, 82 and 75 for a total of 235.

  • Junior David Rogers finished with a total score of 244 including a 78 in the final round of play.

  • Freshman Max Hutter finished with a score of 241 in his second ever collegiate tournament.

  • Conner Willett played as an individual and finished the tournament with scores of 81, 80 and 82 for a total score of 243.

TOURNAMENT LEADERS

  • Georgia Tech, Virginia, and Northwestern all won the tournament with a 4-over par 860. Liberty placed fourth (+1, 865).

UP NEXT

The Blue & Gray will return to action October 10-11 when the squad returns home for the 37th rendition of the Georgetown Intercollegiate.
