Football to Close Out 2021 in Baltimore Against Morgan State

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team will head to Baltimore for its final game of the 2021 season as it takes on the Morgan State Bears at Hughes Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for noon with live stream available on ESPN+.
 
ABOUT THE HOYAS
  • The Hoyas will look to rebound from their setback against Lehigh when they close their season in an inaugural matchup against Morgan State on Saturday in Baltimore at Hughes Stadium.
  • Tony Gyimah Jr. led the defense with eight tackles and a forced fumble to earn his first career Patriot League Honorable Mention.
  • Joshua Tomas registered a touchdown for his third-straight game, hauling in six receptions for 59 yards along the way.
  • On the season, the senior wideout has racked up a team-high four scores while recording a Patriot League third best and tying his counterpart Cameron Crayton with 694 receiving yards.
  • Through nine contests, Tomas has registered 1,001 all-purpose yards, ranking second behind Fordham's Fotis Kokosioulis with 1,131.

ABOUT THE BEARS
  • Morgan State is coming off a 41-14 loss to the University of Albany despite winning its first game of the year against Delaware State, 20-14, a week prior.
  • Running back Romello Kimbrough brings his red zone prowess into the contest, registering a team-high six rushing touchdowns on just 17 attempts for 152 yards.
  • Quarterback Neil Boudreau has completed 51.85 percent of his passes for 1,253 yards, eight touchdowns and 13 interceptions on the season.
  • The Bears are ranked 114 out of 123 in NCAA FCS with a 27.6 percent third-down conversion rate.
 
THE MATCHUP
  • Saturday will be the first all-time matchup between the two programs. 
  • Georgetown will play just its fourth game against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in program history, holding a 1-2 overall record.
