Georgetown Honors Senior Class in Home Matchup Against Fordham

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team will honor its members of the senior class this weekend when the Fordham Rams come to the Hilltop for a Patriot League contest on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. at Cooper Field.

ABOUT GEORGETOWN

  • The Hoyas will be playing in their fifth Patriot League game of the season and the final game at Cooper Field.

  • Joshua Tomas is coming off a career best game against Lafayette in which he had seven receptions for 137 yards and one touchdown. 

  • Joshua Stakely leads the Hoya rushing attack with 238 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. 

  • Justin Fonteneaux leads the defense with 56 total tackles and three tackles for loss including one fumble recovery.

  • Ahmad Wilson, the 2021 recipient of Georgetown's coveted No. 35 jersey, is the second-highest tackler for the Hoyas and has 50 total tackles and four tackles for loss on the year. Wilson tallied his first interception of the season last week during the first quarter against Lafayette. 

SCOUTING FORDHAM

  • Fordham enters Saturday's contest with a 5-3 overall record and 3-0 conference mark through three contests of Patriot League play. 

  • The Rams are currently 3-1 at home and 2-2 on the road, but enter Saturday's contest on a five-game win streak.

  • Starting quarterback Tim DeMorat has passed for 2,368 yards and 24 touchdowns. He is currently averaging 296 yards passing per game. 

  •  Wide receiver Fotis Kokosioulis leads the receiving core with 558 yards and nine touchdowns on 42 receptions. Kokosioulis is averaging 69.8 ypg.

  • Linebacker Ryan Greenhagan leads the defense with 102 total tackles, three sacks, 5.5 tackles for loss and one interception. 

ABOUT THE MATCHUP

  • Georgetown and Fordham are meeting for the 65th time, with the Rams holding a 38-23 series advantage that includes three ties. 

  • The last Hoyas' win in the series came on the road in 2018 after beating the Rams, 23-11.

COMING UP NEXT

The Blue & Gray will return to action at Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for a Patriot League matchup against Lehigh on Nov. 13. Kickoff is set for noon.
