WASHINGTON – Georgetown men's basketball's captain Donald Carey was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday following a 1-1 week for the Blue & Gray. A shorthanded GU squad defeated District foe Howard 85-73 on Wednesday before falling short in its comeback bid against the visiting TCU Horned Frogs 80-73 on Saturday as part of the BIG EAST / Big 12 Battle. It is the fourth weekly honor for the Hoyas this season with a pair of Freshman of the Week nods and now a pair of honor roll accolades.
 
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL DONALD CAREY (December 20, 2021)

• Averaged 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals in a 1-1 week.
• Had 14 points and eight rebounds in a win against Howard (85-73).
• Tallied 12 points and five rebounds against TCU while helping to pace the offense with five assists. .
• The graduate student managed seven steals in the pair of games.
• This is the first BIG EAST honor of Carey's career.

Georgetown will hit the road to open BIG EAST play against Providence at Dunkin' Donuts Arena on Wednesday, Dec. 22.
