Deen, Edwards Selected to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University football seniors Cameron Deen and Max Edwards have been selected to the 2021 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, as announced on Wednesday. The Hoyas were two of 28 student-athletes from the Patriot League to earn the prestigious academic honor. 
 
An elite group of 910 players from 255 schools qualified for membership in 2021, the Society's 15th year. To be eligible a student-athlete must be a starter or significant contributor with a cumulative 3.2 grade-point average (GPA) or better through their final year of eligibility. The initiative has now honored 13,077 student-athletes since its inception.
 
CAMERON DEEN
  • A finance major, Deen is set to graduate in May from the McDonough School of Business.
  • In 2019, Deen ranked sixth on the team with 44 tackles while also adding an interception, 1.5 TFL and 0.5 sacks.
  • He had a season-high 11 tackles and an interception in the season-opener at Davidson.
  • Was named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Team and is a two-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
 
MAX EDWARDS
  • Edwards is an English major and will graduate in May from the College.
  • He appeared in 10 games as a junior, catching six passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
  • Edwards had two touchdown receptions, including a 76-yard score, against Catholic.
  • He is a three-time selection to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
