WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Football Head Coach
Rob Sgarlata released the team's 2026 11-game schedule on Monday. The Hoyas will welcome six opponents to Cooper Field in the fall and will face new Patriot League opponents William & Mary and Villanova.
"We are extremely excited for the 2026 campaign," said Sgarlata. "We look forward to welcoming Villanova and William & Mary to the Patriot League. Our players, coaches and staff are working each day to compete with the best teams at the FCS Level. In addition to the expanded Patriot League schedule, we will face two teams from the Ivy League. We look forward to welcoming Cornell to the Hilltop for the first time since 2007 and continuing the series with Columbia for the Lou Little Trophy."
The Blue & Gray will open the season with a two game homestand against Lafayette on August 29 and Lehigh on September 5. The Hoyas will enjoy a week three bye before heading to Richmond on September 19.
GU will return to the Hilltop for three weeks to face nonconference opponents Columbia on September 26 and Cornell on October 3. The Hoyas will round out their homestand against Bucknell on October 10.
The Blue & Gray will hit the road on week eight to take on Colgate before heading to Williamsburg, Virginia. to faceoff with new conference foe William & Mary on October 24. GU will have a second bye during week 10 before closing out home field action against Holy Cross on November 7.
The Hoyas will finish the 2026 season on the road against Fordham on November 14 and Villanova on November 21. `
