Hoyas Compete at Rutherford Invitational

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's golf team finished in 14th place at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State over the weekend.
 
HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
  • Matt Barnes was Georgetown's top finisher with a 6-over par 219 after carding rounds of 72, 75 and 72 to tie for 25th.
  • David Rogers tied for 30th with a 7-over par 220 after shooting 78, 70 and 72 over the weekend.
  • Tim Rotermund was 70th with a 235 after rounds of 77, 78 and 80 while Will O'Neill placed 71st with a 236 after shooting 82, 76 and 78.
 
WHERE THE TEAM FINISHED
  • The Hoyas recorded rounds of 309, 299 and 302 for a 72-hole score of 910.
  • Penn State (852) won the event followed by Kent State (859) and Loyola Maryland (859) tied for second.
  • Rutgers (862), Maryland (863), UConn (865), George Mason (878), Dayton (879) and James Madison (881) battled in the middle of the pack while Eastern Kentucky (895), Bowling Green (895), Bucknell (899), Seton Hall (900) and Georgetown (910) closed out the competition.
