WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team will look to continue its momentum from last weekend's series victory, as the Hoyas play host to Creighton University in a four-game, three-day BIG EAST series. Due to the weather forecast, the weekend will open with a doubleheader on Friday afternoon, consisting of a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning contest, beginning at 3 p.m. The teams will then play a single game on Saturday at 2 p.m. and the series finale on Sunday will now start at 11 a.m. to accommodate Creighton's travel schedule.
GAMEDAY INFORMATION
- The games will be played at Shipley Field at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium on the campus of the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown comes into the weekend with a 3-5 record after winning three-of-four over the weekend in a BIG EAST series against St. John's. GU's midweek game against George Washington was canceled.
- In the series with the Red Storm, the Hoyas batted .263 with a .415 on-base percentage. The pitching staff held St. John's to a .176 batting average and recorded 40 strikeouts over the four games.
- Christian Ficca batted .400 (6-15) on the weekend with a home run, triple and seven RBIs. Eze also had two extra-base hits and five RBIs, and Tony Barreca went 3-for-5 with a home run.
- For the season, Conor Nolan is batting team-high .389 (7-18) with two stolen bases. Andrew Ciufo is hitting at a .353 (6-17) clip with a home run.

- The Bluejays enter the weekend with an 11-7 overall record and a 3-0 mark in BIG EAST play, having won seven-straight games. They had their series against UConn canceled last weekend, instead playing a two-game series against San Jose State.
- Creighton is hitting .285 as a team with 17 home runs and 49 doubles in 18 games accounting for a .471 slugging percentage.
- Andrew Meggs leads the way with a .389 (28-72) batting average. Alan Roden is hitting .343 (24-70) with team highs of five home runs, 10 doubles and 29 RBIs.
- The pitching staff owns a 4.35 team ERA and has struck out 159 batters in 155 innings. Opponents are hitting .244 against Creighton and have three relievers with at least seven appearances and an ERA under 2.00.
SERIES HISTORY
- The two teams have met 21 times, with 18 matchups coming since Creighton joined the BIG EAST prior to the 2014 season. The Bluejays lead the all-time series 17-4.
- Creighton swept the Hoyas the last time the teams met in 2019, but GU won the series in 2018.
