WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team opens a stretch of 15-straight road games as the Hoyas step out of BIG EAST play on Wednesday for a nonconference, midweek matchup at George Washington. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Barcroft Park in Arlington, Virginia. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but was moved back one day.

· The Hoyas wrapped up a weekend series against Creighton with an exciting 3-2 win in 10 innings on Sunday. Andrew Ciufo lifted a sacrifice fly to right field to score AJ Lotsis, the 10th-inning designated runner, for the winning run.
· Lotsis hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning to tie the game.
· Nolan McCarthy pitched 8.0 innings, a season high for the Hoyas. He allowed just two runs on six hits while striking out seven and not walking a batter.
· Chase Walter fired 2.0 scoreless innings in relief for the win.
