WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's fifth-seeded men's lacrosse team will face fourth seed Virginia in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 22 at noon in Hempstead, New York.
 
HOW THEY GOT HERE

• The Hoyas (13-2) defeated former BIG EAST rival Syracuse 18-8 on Saturday night to advance to their 10th NCAA Quarterfinals appearance in program history.
• Virginia, the defending NCAA National Champions from 2019, defeated Bryant 13-11 in the NCAA First Round on Sunday afternoon.

 
SERIES NOTES

• Georgetown and Virginia have met four times in program history with the Cavaliers holding a 4-0 advantage.
• The two teams have previously met in the NCAA Quarterfinals twice – a 12-7 Virginia victory in 2003 and a 20-8 Cavaliers win in 2006. Virginia would go on to win the NCAA National Championship both of those seasons.
