WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University field hockey team goes on the road for the fourth time in five weeks to face two Rhode Island teams this weekend. The Hoyas face off against Providence College on Friday at 6 p.m. for more BIG EAST play. Georgetown stays in Providence to take on Brown University on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Hoyas will be dedicating the match against Brown to childhood cancer awareness as part of the Beat Childhood Cancer Foundation's Gold in September program. The team will be wearing gold ribbons and raising charitable donations for the Beat Childhood Cancer Foundation as an effort organized by senior

Hoyas to Watch
· Fifth-year student
Ali Cronin is Georgetown's team leader in points with eight on the year. Cronin has four assists and two goals and is a reliable passer for the Hoyas on penalty corners.
· The Hoyas pulled off an important win against Lock Haven University thanks to an overtime goal by graduate student
Emma Street. Street has two goals on the season and averages over two shots per game.
· Goalkeeper
Ciara Weets has totaled 41 saves on the season in Georgetown's seven games.
Providence Scouting Report
· The Friars have had a season with a tale of two teams. Providence is 4-0 at home and 0-4 on the road in their .500 record.
· Providence has multiple players who have earned BIG EAST weekly honors. Junior midfielder Lisa McNamara was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 14, and redshirt freshman Roos Michiels has earned two BIG EAST Freshman of the Week awards on the season.
· McNamara leads the BIG EAST in assists with seven on the season.
Brown Scouting Report
· Brown is currently on a three-game losing streak after falling on the road to the University of Vermont, University of California, Berkeley and University of California, Davis.
· The Bears have 11 goals on the season to their opponents' eight, and goalkeeper Jodie Brine has 25 saves on the year.
