Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Alton McKenzie on the Nittany Lion Challenge:
"Overall, we're pleased with the progress made coming off our winter break. A significant highlight would have to be Matt Payamp's effort in the Men's 1K as he opened up his season with an exceptional 2:21.26 for the 2nd fastest time in the Georgetown record books. His efforts speak volumes of the shape he's in and what could be in store for him this season. Joshua Paige lowering his 200 meter dash school record time to 21.18 is also of note.

On the women's side, Maya Drayton's runner-up spot at 200 meter dash along with her making the finals of the 60 meter dash shows promise for what's to come this season. Rachel Sessa's 3rd place finish in the 1K, running 2:50.78, is also worth mentioning.

This meet provided an opportunity for both our men and women to move forward as we prepare for more intense competition to come this season."
