WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team (6-9, 0-4 BIG EAST) will return home to face No. 11/11 Villanova (13-5, 6-2 BIG EAST) on Saturday, January 22. Tipoff from Capital One Arena is scheduled for noon.

- Donald Carey made his return against No. 21/21 Providence on Thursday, registering a game-high 21 points to go along with seven boards and four steals. The Hoya captain hit five triples, tying his career-best set against St. John's (12/20/20).
- Kaiden Rice added 19 points, shooting 6-of-9 from the floor and 5-for-7 from distance while Aminu Mohammed rounded out the Hoyas in double figures with 12 points while pulling down six rebounds.
- As a team, the Hoyas went 13-of-23 from the distance (56.5%).
- Mohammed leads the BE with six double-doubles (5th - NCAA freshman) and 8.4 rpg (7th - NCAA freshmen).
- Rice averages 4.0 treys/game to lead the BE (4th - NCAA).

- No. 11/11 Villanova is coming off its second loss in conference play, falling to Marquette, 57-54, at home on Wednesday.
- Collin Gillespie leads the Wildcat offense with 16.7 ppg (3rd - BE) on 45.2 percent shooting from the floor, 40.0 percent from distance (3rd - BE) and 90 percent from the charity stripe (2nd - BE).
- Justin Moore has recorded 15.7 ppg while Jermaine Samuels rounds out all scorers in double figures with 10.2 ppg. Samuels also leads VU with 6.5 rpg and 15 total blocks.
- As a team, the Wildcats lead the BE with 81.4 percent shooting from the line (2nd - NCAA), 60.2 points allowed per game and 9.3 triples per contest.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Saturday will be the 90th all-time meeting between GU and Villanova with the Hoyas holding a 45-44 edge overall.

- The Hoyas stunned the Wildcats in the quarterfinals of the BE Tournament last season, knocking off the top seed, 72-71, behind a pair of late free throws from Dante Harris.
