Box Score
- WASHINGTON – The No. 17/12 Georgetown Hoyas beat Providence 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Rhode Island. With the win, GU rises to 11-1-4 overall and 7-0-1 in the BIG EAST as the Friars fall to 4-9-2 overall, 2-4-1 in league play.
Head Coach Dave Nolan
"This was another tough conference road game and we are obviously happy to get the three points. The team played very well, especially the first half. Eliza Turner scored a great goal and we were comfortable to be fair. However, give Providence credit, on their senior day they rallied late and put us under some pressure late in the game. Thankfully, we dealt with it and picked up another shutout. Now we get ready for a hungry Marquette team fighting hard to make the Big East Tournament."
