Swimming & Diving Picks Up Historic Sweep against Villanova

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University swimming & diving teams dominated in Saturday's dual meet against Villanova, picking up the program's first sweep of the Wildcats with the women's side earning its first victory over VU (161-139) and the men's team winning in decisive fashion (217-83).

"We've been really proud of the team's preparation all year, this week was no different. Our seniors have done a great job of preparing the underclassmen for how to race while we're tired at this point of the season. The whole staff, Gerry Dunn, Jacob Miner, Emmabeth Jensen, Connor Beaulieu and Sam Milligan were all locked in and kept pushing through a really rough week. Both teams were ready and proud of them for coming out with two wins on the road. Excited to get back to work next week and prepare for another tough one against Fordham" " - Head Coach Jack Leavitt on today's win over Villanova
