WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team has announced the signing of Marvel Allen to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. Allen, considered a five-star recruit by most outlets, is a product of Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. He is the first from the Class of 2023 to sign with the Blue & Gray.

ON THE RECORD
"We are very excited to sign Marvel Allen and see him in a Hoya uniform next season. As we work to move this program forward, Marvel is exactly the kind of player who adds to the style of play we are looking for. He is a two-way player who is physical and tremendous both offensively and defensively and he adds size and physicality to the backcourt"
- Head Coach Patrick Ewing on Marvel Allen

"Georgetown believed in me and the relationship with the coaching staff was the main reason I chose Georgetown. I only have one plan and that's to prove to the world what Georgetown is about." - Marvel Allen on why he chose Georgetown
