WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University football team's wide receiver Joshua Tomas and defensive back Wedner Cadet have been named to the 2022 Stats Perform FCS All-American Team. Tomas was named to the offensive third team while Cadet was named to the freshman team. 
 
Third Team:
Joshua Tomas - WR

• Tomas became the single-season leader in Georgetown history with 1,231 receiving yards in 2022.
• He also became the first player in program history to hit 100 receptions for the season. 
• Tomas finished the season leading the nation with 100 receptions, 111.9 receiving ypg and 9.1 catches per game. 
• Managed seven-consecutive Patriot League weekly honors this year tallying eight overall.
• He was named to the Associated Press All-American third team and the Phil Steele FCS All-Patriot League first team. 

 
Freshmen Team: 
Wedner Cadet - DB

• Cadet's five interceptions this season led the Hoyas and the Patriot League as well as ranked top six in the nation.
• His 125 return yards on interceptions are ranked fifth in the FCS
• The Massachusetts native is also a finalist for the 2022 FCS Jerry Rice Award. 
• He was named to HERO Sports' FCS All-American freshman team and the Phil Steele FCS All-Patriot League second team.
