Angelo Tonas put forth stellar efforts during the Georgetown University baseball team's opening weekend, each earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Monday.

- Ciufo picked up his first career honor roll selection following a successful weekend in Winston-Salem.
- The Hoya shortstop slashed .333/.385/.833 with two home runs, seven RBIs and a stolen base.
- He smacked a solo shot in the season opener against Rider before going 2-for-4 with an RBI against Wake Forest.
- Ciufo capped off the weekend slate with a grand slam and five RBIs against Lafayette. The New York native rides a three-game hitting streak into this week's matchup against Norfolk State.
Angelo Tonas | Senior | LHP | Hillsborough, Calif.
- Tonas picked up his third career weekly recognition and second honor roll selection, recording a pair of scoreless outings and holding the opposition to a .083 batting average this weekend.
- The lefty tossed a perfect two innings and struck out a pair of Broncs in the season opener.
- He followed up with two more dominant frames against the Leopards, allowing just one hit and punching out two.
